Over the past few years we've heard infrequent and scanty news reports about the civil war in the Eastern Congo. They give the impression of unending crisis and waves of inter-tribal hatred and bloodshed. Is this really what is going on? Is it a "tribal conflict", or is it a war for control of rich natural resources? What are the roles of western companies and governments? How are the surrounding countries involved? How are the Congolese people being affected? Join us for an interactive evening exploring the underlying reasons for and development impacts of this silent war - one that has gone on for years and killed millions, yet rarely makes it into the news reports.
